"Tropical Lagos" Collection – From Illustration to Pattern
Client/Ideal For: Luxury Resort & Spa Brands, High-End Home Decor Companies, Sustainable Fashion Labels, Premium Packaging for Organic Products.
Challenge/Brief: A discerning client sought a visual language that could capture the essence of a tranquil, natural oasis, conveying both lush vibrancy and serene calm. The goal was to develop a cohesive visual system, starting from a signature illustration, that could be seamlessly applied across diverse commercial products and spaces to evoke a sense of grounding and emotional well-being.
My Role: As a lead artist and pattern designer, I began by crafting a bespoke botanical illustration, rooted in my understanding of biophilic principles and the innate beauty of tropical flora. This core illustration was then meticulously deconstructed and re-imagined to create a series of versatile, repeating patterns. My role encompassed concept development, original illustration, pattern design, and mock-up visualization for multi-product application.
Result/Impact: This "Tropical Lagos" collection demonstrates the power of a unified visual narrative derived from a single, evocative illustration. The resulting patterns not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of various products (from bespoke mugs and soft furnishings to reusable bottles and notebooks) but also:
